متن کاملVentilation Systems, US NAVY SHIPS
Shipboard ventilation systems supply and remove air to/from spaces throughout the ship. In doing so, these systems control quality of breathing air and protect personnel and sensitive equipment from potentially hazardous airborne contaminants, fires, explosions, and excessive heat. The ability of ventilation systems to protect personnel from these hazards is particularly important aboard Navy s...
متن کاملUltrasound assisted hydration of navy beans (Phaseolus vulgaris).
The use of ultrasound to enhance the transport phenomena in food processes has been well recognised in recent times. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of sonication on hydration rate and pasting profile of navy beans. The hydration kinetics for control and ultrasound assisted soaking was mathematically described using mechanistic (Fickian diffusion) and empirical (Peleg's e...
متن کاملMusculoskeletal performance and hydration status
Maximal performance during competition is the drive many competitors use to train harder. However, there are several variables that contribute to impair a competitor's performance. These variables work by altering the homeostatic mechanisms within the body. Once homeostasis is altered the competitor's body is no longer optimized to face the stresses of the athletic competition.
